Make pancake mix in a mixing bowl, according to box instructions. You won’t need too much batter unless you want to make lots of fried Oreos.
Add 2 cups of oil to a saucepan and set on medium-high.
Wait for it to start boiling (be careful not to place your face too close to the pan, as the oil can pop and burn you). To test the level of heat, sprinkle some water and see if it pops.
Dip Oreos one at a time into pancake batter.
Gently place batter-covered Oreo into the saucepan of oil and wait 30 seconds for one side of it to fry. Flip it over for another 30 seconds, then remove with a serving spoon and place on a paper towel covered plate.
Repeat until you’ve fried as many as your stomach desires, or when the batter is done.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the fried Oreos.
