If you haven’t already, peel and chop the sweet potatoes in 1/2 inch pieces.
Boil some water in a pot and add the sweet potato chunks once water boils. Boil for 15 minutes. Remove from heat.
Drain the water from the pot.
Add in the butter, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Mix as you mash the sweet potatoes. We didn’t even have to use a masher for this part since the potatoes were soft enough to use a wooden spoon, but you can use a masher if you prefer.
Spray a baking dish with no non-stick spray. (We used the butter flavored one).
Add in the sweet potato mixture and bake on 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Then take the dish out of the oven, cover in marshmallows and set oven to broil for 1-2 minutes until the marshmallows are slightly brown.
Remove from oven and allow to cool before devouring!
