DUTCH OVEN FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French Brioche from Trader Joe's
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup Oat milk or regular milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter chopped into 4 pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Spray Dutch oven/ baking pan and preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Break apart bread pieces into cubes into the Dutch oven or baking pan you will be using.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, salt, sugar, vanilla extract and maple syrup. 

  4. Pour mixture onto bread and lightly mix with a wooden spoon. Let it soak for 10-30 minutes — if you are in a hurry you can skip this part.

  5. Add butter chunks on top of the bread and bake uncovered in oven for 40 minutes, or until it looks done. 

  6. Let it cool before devouring.
